American Angus Association
- Angus Black Book
The American Angus Association was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1883 by 60 members who were breeders of Aberdeen Angus cattle. At present, the Association records more cattle each year than any other beef breed association and has more than 25,000 members, making it the largest beef breed registry association in the world.
To revolutionize the animal health industry, American Angus Association wanted to create a mobile solution that fully automates cattle record keeping and ranch management for commercial & non-commercial users.
The Folio3 Solution
Folio3 developed a unique cross platform mobile app for American Angus Association; the solution includes a mobile app for ranch managers and workers and an integrated web-based back office dashboard and reporting platform for system administrators and ranch owners.
Key features of solution include:
Development of a mobile based cattle record keeping & management platform that automates the process for commercial and non-commercial users.
The app enables ranchers to centralize, record, manage cattle data, cattle feeding, breeding and health processes.
Lists activities and reminders for ranch workers, for scheduled tasks that need to be performed per calendar month.
Enables ranch owners to manage their workforce and view reports related to operations, workers and cattle.
Thanks to Folio3’s efforts, American Angus Association now has a cross platform animal healthcare solution for the better management of their ranch operations. The solution has completely automated their cattle record keeping and ranch management processes. The project is currently on-going, with the Folio3 team providing maintenance and support for the app.
We are beyond impressed with the solutions Folio3 created. Having seen the solution evolve from the initial idea to wireframes, to a fully functioning app in such a short time is simply amazing. I’m grateful to the Folio3 team for all the effort they’ve put in, it truly shows in the end product’s function and creativity.
